Banquet

The conference banquet will take place at Shozankan.

  
 

Time: evening, Sep. 6 (Mon)
Meeting point: Bus will depart from Katahira Sakura Hall.
Cost: JPY 8,500 (includes transportation)


Excursion

A half-day excursion to Hiraizumi area in Iwate Prefecture will be organized (~1.5 hours from Sendai by bus). Hiraizumi was a political and cultural center of north Japan in the 11th and 12th centuries and has been nominated for the UNESCO tentative list of World Heritage. You will be guided through Chuson-ji Temple and Motsuji Temple where you can see important histrical and cultural buildings, such as the outstanding Konjikido designated a National Treasure in Japan. Meeting point: Bus will depart from Katahira Sakura Hall.
Cost: JPY 7,000 (includes transportation, lunch, and a guided tour)
Note: The minimum number of participants is 20. The deadline for the application of the excursion is 31 July 2010.

10:30-12:30 Chuson-ji Temple and Motuji Temple
12:45-13:45 Japanease-style lunch with soba in Hiraizumi
15:30-16:15 Drop-off at Sendai Sta. & Katahira Campus
